Manual Therapy Mobilizations
Manual Therapy Mobilizations involves an assessment where the Physiotherapist isolates a specific joint or spinal level and passively feels the movement available at that joint. The Physiotherapist will then treat any stiff joints or spinal levels with mobilizations to relieve the stiffness and return the joint to its proper functioning. If the joint or spinal level moves excessively, specific stabilization and strengthening exercises must be initiated.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound is the "miracle machine" of Physiotherapy.
It has been well documented that applying therapeutic ultrasound over muscle, nerve and connective tissue, is effective in relieving pain, muscle spasms and joint contractures. Conditions such as adhesive capsulitis ("frozen shoulder"), bursitis, calcific tendonitis, and soft tissue injuries all benefit from ultrasound therapy to decrease pain and speed up healing.

LASER
LASER stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. At On-The-Go Physiotherapy, we use a low power infrared LASER that can penetrate 2-8 cm in depth into soft tissue. The reported physiological effects of LASER are decreasing pain, decreasing inflammation, increasing circulation, increasing collagen synthesis, increasing granulation tissue, and increasing nerve regeneration. The following conditions may benefit from LASER treatment for pain management: tendonitis, arthritis, trigger points, soft tissue injuries, and wound healing. LASER can also be used to stimulate acupuncture points for pain management.
